Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
What does it mean to stay close to God, and how does that show up in daily life?
Answer:
Staying close to God means putting Him first in your life.
It shows in your daily life when you:
-
Read and learn from the Bible every day
-
Talk to God about your worries and trust Him to help you
-
Believe that He will fix things in the right time
-
Spend more time with God than on other things
The more time you give to God, the closer you'll be to Him.
Question:
How do you study God in your heart?
Answer:
Studying God in your heart means truly wanting to know the truth, no matter what it is, even if it's different from what you think.
If you don't agree with something, ask why God wants it that way. You can learn the answer by reading the Bible and letting the Holy Spirit guide you.
It might not be easy at first, but don't give up. The more you stick with it, the stronger your faith gets, just like a muscle you work out every day.
On my website, I share music about my walk with God. If you listen with an open heart, you may find helpful insights for your own journey.
Question:
Are spiritual doors usually closed at baptism and through repentance?
Answer:
Spiritual doors are closed when you truly repent, get baptized, accept Jesus, and have faith.
Doubt is a sin. Even after doing all this, you might still need to be set free from certain spiritual attacks or influences. If that's the case, remember: Satan won't let go easily, there will be a battle. You can only win that battle by knowing and applying the Bible. Jesus is the only way.
We often pay a price for sins from our past. But the good news is: if you stay close to God, keep learning and living by the Bible, grow in faith, self-control, and patience, you will be set free over time.
Nightmares, though scary, can be opportunities for spiritual growth. But be careful, not all dreams are from God. Some come from your own thoughts, what you watch or listen to, or even spiritual attacks. For example, dreaming about eating might mean there's still a spiritual door that needs to be closed, or it could just be your own fear or beliefs shaping the dream.
Dreams can be:
-
Messages from God
-
Attacks from the enemy
-
Or made by your own thoughts
The good news is: if you stay close to God, no sickness, demon, or fear can stay in you forever. Freedom comes through Jesus the Messiah.
God gives peaceful sleep, so pray before bed and ask Him for rest.
The Bible says: Those who are unsure in their relationship with God are double-minded and will not receive anything.
Don't be fooled by people who act like being born again means life is always perfect. Until Jesus returns, life is a spiritual battle for every soul.
But take heart, if you stay close to God, everything will be okay in the end.
Question:
Why do I keep having flare-ups?
Answer:
Flare-ups can be very frustrating, but they're also a chance to grow in faith, self-control, and patience.
The best thing you can do is to give all your worries and pain to Jesus, and then wait for His perfect timing to heal you. If you have faith, healing will come.
Flare-ups are connected to sins we've committed in the past, the more sin, the more flare-ups. But healing is guaranteed if we stay close to God and obey Him.
Take good care of your body, because it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. That means:
-
Eat healthy, organic food
-
Get good sleep (ideally from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
-
Spend time reading and applying the Word of God
Be patient with yourself. Learning and living the Bible takes time, even years. But if you stay faithful and keep going, you'll improve little by little.
Faith, knowledge, and wisdom are the best medicine for the setbacks we sometimes go through, especially when we didn't know better before.
You can find more information about this in the book "The Apostolic Fathers."
Question:
How do I know if I'm really saved?
Answer:
You know you're saved when you've born again, truly accepted Jesus as your Savior, turned away from sin, and believe in Him with all your heart.
You'll notice changes in your life, like wanting to pray, read the Bible, and live in a way that pleases God. It doesn't mean you're perfect, but your heart is heading in the right direction.
If you stay close to God and obey His Word, He will give you peace and confidence that you belong to Him.
Question:
Why do I still struggle with sin?
Answer:
Struggling with sin doesn't mean you're not saved, it means you're in a fight to grow stronger.
Your old habits don't disappear overnight, but the Holy Spirit will help you change day by day. The key is to stay close to God and keep fighting.
God sees your effort, and He will give you strength if you keep turning to Him. Be patient, spiritual growth takes time.
Question:
What should I do when I feel far from God?
Answer:
When you feel far from God, the best thing to do is to talk to Him honestly. Tell Him how you feel and ask Him to help you come back.
Spend time reading the Bible and praying, even if it feels difficult. God hasn't moved, He's waiting for you to return with open arms.
Start small. One prayer, one Bible verse, one worship song. The more time you spend with Him, the closer you'll feel.
Question:
How can I hear God's voice?
Answer:
You hear God's voice by spending quiet time with Him, reading the Bible, and listening with your heart.
God speaks in many ways, through Scripture, through peace in your heart, through dreams, or even through other people. But He always speaks in a way that matches His Word.
If you want to hear Him clearly, make space for Him daily and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
Question:
Why does God allow hard things to happen in my life?
Answer:
God doesn't cause all suffering, but He allows it to shape your heart and grow your faith.
Hard times can teach you to trust Him more deeply. They help you let go of things that don't matter and cling to what does, God's love, mercy, grace, and truth.
If you stay close to Him, He will bring good out of even the hardest things. He promises to never leave you alone in the struggle.
Question:
Why hasn't my healing happened yet?
Answer:
Sometimes healing takes time because God is also working on your heart, your faith, and your trust in Him.
He may be using this time to teach you patience, dependence, and spiritual maturity. Healing isn't always instant, but it is guaranteed if you stay close to God and obey Him.
Keep believing, keep praying, keep studying the Bible and take care of your body like God's temple. Trust that His timing is perfect.
Question:
How do I fight spiritual attacks?
Answer:
You fight spiritual attacks by knowing and using the Word of God, just like Jesus did.
Pray daily, read your Bible, and speak truth out loud. When you feel fear, doubt, or confusion, remind yourself of God's promises.
Also, get rid of anything in your life that gives the enemy access, like unforgiveness, sin, or harmful entertainment. The closer you are to God, the stronger your protection becomes.
Question:
What do my dreams mean?
Answer:
Some dreams come from God, some from the enemy, and some from your own thoughts and emotions.
Ask God to give you wisdom and peace when you wake up. If a dream bothers you, pray over it and compare it to what the Bible says.
Not all dreams are messages, but God can use them to teach or warn you. Trust the Holy Spirit to show you the difference.
We must keep in mind that the Bible is complete, having revealed everything we need to know from now until eternity. This is not to say that God does not work miracles or even speak through dreams today, but anything God says, whether through a dream, vision, impression, or "still small voice," will agree completely with what He has already revealed in His Word. Dreams cannot usurp the authority of Scripture.
If you have a dream and feel that perhaps God gave it to you, prayerfully examine the Word of God and make sure your dream is in agreement with Scripture. If it is from God, prayerfully consider what God would have you do in response to your dream. In Scripture, whenever anyone experienced a dream from God, God always made the meaning of the dream clear, whether directly to the person, through an angel, or through another messenger. When God speaks to us, He makes sure His message is clearly understood.
Question:
Why do I feel stuck in my spiritual life?
Answer:
Feeling stuck can happen when you're not spending enough time with God, or when God is calling you to go deeper.
Take time each day to read the Bible, pray, and reflect. Ask God if there's anything in your life that needs to change.
Sometimes growth feels slow, but don't give up. Staying faithful, even in silence, builds a strong foundation.
Question:
How do I grow closer to God every day?
Answer:
You grow closer to God by spending time with Him, just like you would with a close friend.
Start your day with prayer, read your Bible, and talk to God throughout the day. Listen to worship music, and choose things that help your spirit grow.
Time with God every day will make a big difference over time. He wants to be close to you.
