Being Deceived
The Bible itself warns about it plenty, like in Matthew 24:4 where Jesus says, "Watch out that no one deceives you," or 2 Timothy 3:13-15, which links remaining grounded in the Bible with avoiding evil and deceit. Reading your Bible consistently, diligently, and frequently isn't just a habit, it's armor. Knowing the Bible inside out builds a filter, you spot lies because they don't line up with what's written. Psalm 119:11
backs this up, "I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not
sin against You, suggesting that internalizing it keeps you saved. God
can and will use diseases and problems to save you, but most of the
diseases and problems you face in your life are because you do not know
your Bible. You have been deceived without even knowing it.
Read your Bible consistently, diligently and frequently, or you will be deceived!
The
Bible doesn't directly use the phrase "missing Heaven," but it
addresses the concept through teachings about salvation, judgment, and
the consequences of rejecting God's
ways.Here's what it lays out:
Separation from God as the Consequence: The Bible frames "missing Heaven" as ending up apart from God, often tied to Hell or eternal punishment. Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus says, "Not
everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of
Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father." Even people
who think they're in might miss it if their actions don't align with
God's will.
Rejection of Jesus: John 14:6 has Jesus saying, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me." The New Testament
hammers this home, missing Heaven comes from not accepting Jesus as the
path to God, Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in no one else".
Sin and Unrepentance: Romans 6:23 ties it to wages, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus the Messiah our Lord." Unrepented sin, without seeking forgiveness, leads to spiritual death, not Heaven. Revelation 21:27 "Nothing
impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or
deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of
life." The Narrow Path: Matthew 7:13-14
talks about two roads: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the
gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter
through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to
life, and only a few find it." Missing Heaven here is taking the easier, more popular path over the harder, faithful one.
Judgment Day: Matthew 25:31-46 shows a final sorting, those who lived for others and God go to eternal life, while those who didn't live for others and God face "eternal punishment." Missing Heaven is the outcome for the latter. In short, the Bible says you miss Heaven by rejecting God's offer, whether through unbelief, unrepentant sin, or living out of step with His will.
